Far from city caos ( but only few kilometres from the centre ), at slope of Monreale and the splendid Conca D’Oro, Baglio Conca D’Oro alla Cartiera Grande lies in Contrada Molara, which till the end of 18th century was called “Pietro Molara”. The reason of this name was the presence of quarries from which the stones to built millstones were quarried. The “Cartiera Grande”, the bigger of three papermills that originally produced paper of various type, today is, after a very careful refurbishment, a 4 stars hotel of great charme and comfort. The large hall and common spaces have ceilings painted with wooden beams, earthenware floors and sophisticated furnishings. Convivials, gala dinner and lunches are organized in “Sala Cartiera” ( 300 seats )and the internal Courtyard “Baglio Sabucia” ( 150 seats ). The hotel arranges 4 meeting rooms ( from 50 to 400 seats ) and parking for 150 cars and 5 pullmans.
